While I consider myself a generalist, I work particularly well with young adults, caregivers, creatives, artists and those impacted by substance use.
Young Adults
Being a young person today is uniquely challenging. Many face intense internal and external pressures to succeed, while others find themselves stuck, struggling with motivation and direction. I work with patients to clarify their values, recognize and break unhelpful patterns, and articulate their fears. Together, we build a steady foundation of self, empowering them to move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
Caregivers
I work well with mothers and leaders of all types—those who need dedicated space to consider deep care for oneself. Society often idealizes giving and working as metrics for one’s value, but I find this is an antiquated and harmful perspective. Simple pleasures may surface when we slow down and reprioritize our worth. In doing so, I’ve found my patients see their newly reframed, empowered mindset ripple out to those they care for.
Creatives and Artists
Self-doubt, belonging, purpose, and productivity naturally surface in creative work. By co-creating a safe, confidential space to share fears, explore blocks, or embrace the unexpected, we can learn to sit more comfortably with its discomfort, and/or treat it medically in the service of one’s art. The unconscious mind, after all, is an endless well of inspiration. Drawing on my training in psychoanalysis, I help patients uncover unconscious patterns and transform them into fuel for creative growth.
Those Impacted by Substance Use
I provide consultations and ongoing care for those looking to moderate or abstain from alcohol or cannabis, or the loved ones of those suffering from addictions of all types. For patients with mild substance use issues, this may include motivational support or medications to manage cravings and address root causes. For more complex needs, I refer clients to trusted specialists or facilities, drawing on my network to ensure expert care in an ever-changing recovery landscape.
